Zoning Team Meeting - Nov 29th 7pm - RSVP

Updated: Nov 14, 2022

Greetings Concord!

Currently, the City is in the process of updating its Zoning Ordinance, transitioning from a "Traditional" zoning code to "Form Based" zoning. This relatively new zoning approach is being used in urban centers like Concord that want to encourage dynamic, pedestrian-oriented development that meets the changing social, cultural, and economic needs of its community.

Please join our Zoning team for a meeting on 11/29 (7pm) to continue conversations around the City’s proposed Form Based Code. We’ve begun talking about how the changes may affect Residential zones, and are currently setting goals and researching best practices in how other municipalities have adopted Form Based Code, as well as understanding the implementation timeframe the City has determined. The new zoning ordinance will have a deep and lasting impact on Concord - come weigh in!

Concord Greenspace values a no-NIMBY, pro-smart growth, pro-equity, pro-affordable housing, pro-financial resilience, density-forward stance on zoning and sustainable development.  Our community conversations encourage all perspectives and we work hard to find common ground.  We are an official chapter of Strong Towns. Learn more on November 29th! Check out our Zoning Team website page here.

November 29th 7-9pm - RSVP here.

(Meeting location will be emailed to you 1 day prior to the meeting - to receive location email please RSVP!)

Gratefully,

The Concord Greenspace Coalition
