It's budget season in Concord!


Take these 6 steps to promote smart growth, equitable development, and local climate action:

  1. Advocate for a full-time Sustainability Director position in the 2023-24 budget.

  2. Advocate for Lights at Keach Park!

  3. Attend the DEIJB Committee Community Listening Sessions this week.

    1. Tuesday, May 2nd 12-2pm (City Chambers)

    2. Thursday, May 4th 6-8pm (Merrimack Valley High School Auditorium)

    3. Saturday, May 6, 11-1pm (City Wide Community Center - 14 Canterbury)

  4. Join us for Part 1 of the "Concord Climate Stocktake" on May 22nd 6-8pm to assess Concord's progress towards the 2030/2050 Climate Goals. RSVP here.

  5. Join a Concord Greenspace action team and attend the CG3 monthly meeting on Wed, May 10th 7-8pm. Check out our team meeting schedules below.

  6. Attend the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness Monthly Meeting on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2022 at 1 pm.

1) From Words to Action: Why Concord Needs a Sustainability Director


Email your city councilor and cc the city clerk today to express your support for creating a full-time Sustainability Director position. Together, we can build a more sustainable future for Concord.




 

2) Support Lights at Keach Park

3) Attend the DEIJB Listening Sessions

The City of Concord’s Committee on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Justice and Belonging (DEIJB Committee) plans to hold three listening sessions to hear from community members about their experiences and the proposed scope of work of the committee. Scheduled DEIJB Committee Listening Sessions are as follows:

4) SAVE THE DATE: Concord Climate Stocktake

Join us on May 22nd, 6-8pm at the City Wide Community Center (14 Canterbury Rd) for Part 1 of the Concord Paris Climate Agreement Local "Stocktake". Hear from city representatives on progress towards our renewable energy goals, then participate in roundtable discussions focused on your ideas and priorities. Food and drinks provided. Let's build our community around local climate action!

Our three action teams advocate for smart growth, equitable development, and local climate action, ensuring that Concord is a sustainable and vibrant place to live for generations to come. 6) Concord Coalition to End Homelessness MONTHLY MEETING

The Concord Coalition to End Homelessness holds monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month. Their next meeting is on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2022 at 1 pm -Christ the King Church, 72 South Main St, Concord NH.
