YOU'RE INVITED! Middle School Location & Design (2 Part) Community Workshop - October 26th 5:30-8pm

Updated: Oct 17, 2022

In light of the breaking news that "Centerpoint Church says No to Concord School District Land Sale", we have an important opportunity for a deeper discussion on the Middle School location, design and the research around both.

  • Concord Monitor article here.

  • The Patch article here.

On Wednesday, October 26th from 5:30-8pm, the Concord Greenspace Coalition will host Part 1 of a two-part community workshop to discuss the middle school location, design, and the latest research on what best supports young learners. The event will be moderated by Carisa Corrow of Educating for Good. All are welcome but please RSVP (we need a head count to secure the right room at the City Wide Community Center).

Part 1 (October 26th, 5:30-8pm) will focus on hearing from YOU about your thoughts on the Middle School project and understanding the issues around school location & design, digesting the research, and meeting the new school board candidates! All are welcome! Please RSVP.

Part 2 (November 16th, 6-8pm) will include updates on the Middle School project plans and a community discussion. We hope to be joined by Superintendent Murphy and Concord School Board members! All are welcome! Please RSVP.

Unfortunately, the October 26th meeting conflicts with an important School Board meeting where the annual budget will be discussed and voted on. So, School Board members won’t be able to attend that session. I hope to be at the one on Nov. 16th. Bob Cotton
