About The Event
The City of Concord is actively researching the feasibility of creating a Community Power Program.
As many of you know, City Council has adopted 100% renewable energy goals for both City operations and residential energy use to meet the challenge of climate change impacts. A Community Power Program will work on behalf of the community to provide affordable electricity and increase use of renewable energy.
Community Power allows customers to save money and expand their energy choices by pooling the electricity demand of participating residents across each town to increase buying power and expand local control.
Goals of Community Power:
· Lowering Rates and savings customers money
· Creating clean energy choices for customers
· Support local control of energy upgrades, programs, and projects
Lower Rates – Consumer Choice – Local Control – Clean Energy
